A six-week journey to making screens work for you

A Farewell to Screen Addiction is a six-week, step-by-step programme for anyone who is fed up of losing time to screens and wants to reclaim their life. It walks you through how to change it, week by week.

This is a book about making your screens work for you.

A whole-person approach

The handbook brings together neuroscience, psychology, somatic practice, and personal experience into a complete six-week process. Each week builds on the last: from awareness and honest self-assessment, through the science of dopamine and habit change, to emotional and nervous system work. The handbook concludes with a framework for sustainable, lifelong change.

Each week combines a content section, a practical experiment in changing screen habits, and a reflective journalling task.

Inside the six weeks

01 · Notice without judgement — Audit your screen use, work with your Inner Rebel and track your habits for seven days.

02 · Experiment with change — Explore how to make habit changes that stick, and try your first experiment.

03 · Understand the pull — Explore the neuroscience of screen addiction and attempt a digital detox.

04 · Rebuild your attention — Reconnect with analogue pleasures and chosen, focused screen work.

05 · Feel and rest — Work with feelings and the nervous system, with practices for feeling your feelings and finding nervous system relief.

06 · Make it sustainable — Create your own manifesto and appreciate your progress as you build an ongoing practice.
