My Story

As an artist my ability to be in ‘flow state’ hugely diminished since owning a smart phone. I undertook several experiments to find out how to make screens work for me.

I started sharing my findings, which eventually became a course called: A Farewell to Screen Addiction. I’ve been running it for six years now.

I’ve delivered the course to over 300 people with amazing results.

The Problem

Tech has brought so many good things into our lives...

But we’re increasingly seeing a mental health crisis in response to how addictive our screens are

Whilst neuroscientists have described the problem, we haven’t seen much by way of solution yet...

I want people to get the most out of tech, without it causing anxiety and depression.

Why Now?

The cultural moment for this course is here:

  • The surgeon general in the US has called for warning labels on social media.

  • Governments are legislating on children's screen use.

  • The Guardian reports the average UK adult will spend 41,000 hours on their devices.

Course participant feedback:

"Five stars!"

“100% recommend this course.”

“Excellent balance of pragmatic and profound.”

“If you want to become more productive, less stressed and have more fulfilling relationships then do this course.”
